I bought the pouchee to help me keep my things organized in a large hobo-ish bag I own and like, and it doesn't work perfectly with the bag. If I leave the pouchee in my bag and dig something out of it - I find it hard to return the thing to the pouchee - unless I can use both hands. So if I check out at the grocery store, I generally end up tossing my wallet back in my purse and then reorganizing the pouchee later in the day... Which basically requires me to dig around in my purse just as much as I would have before - only in the privacy of my car or home and not in line at the cashiers!! ;p
Still I think that if you had a bag that opened with a flap (a messenger bag maybe) or anything that opened and stayed wide open - it would probably be easier to use the pouchee.
